Sucks that you titled this "Escaped Mental Patient" when the costume has nothing to do with mental illness AND the costume is that of a doctor. It perpetuates the myth that the mentally ill are "bad". :disbelief:

It was for a Halloween costume contest where I work at, I couldn't come up with a better name at the time of loading the picture. I primarily loaded it for my makeup. Unfortunately I did loose the costume contest to the 'Flintstones' and to 'Fiona' from Shrek. Neither of which in my honest opinion had any thought or time put into them. But I appreciate your input and will take it into account upon trying to come up with another caption for the photo.

Thanks so much. I advocate for the mentally ill so I'm a little sensitive about stuff like that.

As for the costume, I do like it. I totally get the zombie/clown vibe from it. If you dig doing the crazy makeup you should go ahead and try out some stage-quality latex. You can do all sorts of makeup effects with it. You can use lipstick for the blood in the wounds (it's thick enough to stay put). Personally I like to put a hint of dark blue into the wound. I do a layer of the straight red then take a bit of the red and add in a tiny touch of blue and dab that around inside of the wound. Do Not mix the red and blue together, leave it kind of messy, wounds are messy. The little touch of blue gives the impression of a bruise coming on and also adds depth to the look of the blood. If you want to try it out, look for Ben Nye makeup. It's the best stuff out there.
